I am a landlord.
I have an apartment I am renting out on a main floor (like a basement apartment as nothing below it).
The tenant has been complaining about a smell in the kitchen near a wall that is common with bathroom wall. we checked and could not find any leak. however a dehumidifier we put there collects a lot of humidity/water everyday and needs to be emptied every day!
It's been like that for weeks. Unfortunately, the tenant also mentioned there is some mold in bathroom ceiling.
My question is who should I contact, who is the expert (what profession) in inspecting something like this? a professional plumber? who should I contact first to thoroughly check the source of this problem?
