The replacement for cap and trade but seems to be looking just as bad for consumer energy prices.

It would require energy companies to generate X% of their power production from clean sources like wind and solar by certain dates. The big grabroad
cha here is that we already pay for these new sources with our tax money and if this is what is proposed and passes we would pay for it as consumers also.

This is what is going to be tried since everyone knows that cap and trade will never pass.
 
I saw as part of Reid's new energy bill there is to be greater use for the Energy Star program. Great just what is needed - the GAO found the Energy Star program comically fraudulent recently.
