Removing Myfavs

I have a MyFavs Family Plan with 3 lines, is there a way to actually REMOVE or block the OTA update to install myFavs on my BlackBerry Pearl?

I don't want to hide it, I just don't want it on my phone as I hate the way it looks when I place/make a call to someone on myFavs.
 
you can try to delete the module for it. not sure this will work, but it's worth a shot or the service book.

options --> adv opt --> applications (then click menu button when the apps list loads and go to modules, then go back to adv opt --> service books

find the ones that deal with myfavs and delete them.
 
Yeah I tried removing it and it was pushed back.. if I use the java loader to remove it, can they still push it back then?
 
Don't think so. when you use java loader it actually removes the S/w portion from the phone, not just the service books. This is also how you would delete the embedded ringtones from the phone to free up more memory. My boss did it 3+ days ago and still has not got it pushed back to him so i think he's safe at this point. We even tried to push them back ourselves to see if it would undo what he had done and still not there.

as far as how to use it can't help there.( still trying to figure it out myself)
