Just keep hitting it with a hammer. Their will be a 'lip' of rust around the inside edge and that's what is stopping it. Get a small pry-bar for some leverage. Lever it one side and hit the other side with hammer and just work your way round the diameter of the drum.

Remember to remove the lip before you replace it using a grinder or something similar.

im still having trouble. I beat on it with a hmmer for a long time. it didn't move. the parking brake is off. But i have done a few drum brakes before. All of them had a adjuster sprocket to back the pads away from the drum. This one I can't find. I can't get a puller on it either. Any positive feed back would be great.

do you see any screw holes might have to push it off with 10 mm bolt and should back off brakes thru slot in back of cover helps also if no plug knock the slot plug out so you can adjust it
