I have a mixer with direct outs that (three of those direct outs) go into presonus preamps. Now I am wanted to use the presonus preamps instead the mixers. but i keep getting a hissing sound when I turn the presonus gain up. If I use the mixers preamp and go directly to the recording interface, there is much less hiss or none but I'm afraid the sound of the voice may not be that good. I have tryed different cables. Any advice?
