REMEMBER ME - Who's looking forward to it?

I'm really excited for the new film REMEMBER ME which is released here in the UK in early April and March in the US.

Trailer's here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWQV6-QgGjI

Really great cast and great bunch of people working on the film and a fantastic script (Yup I read the original).

First heard about this film in an interview with Rob Pattinson (the lead role) and saw the trailer then went digging for more. Read the script and was blown away by it. You know you've stumbled across something good when you're still thinking about what you've read weeks later.

There's a lot of excited discussion going on at IMDB about this film from all over the world so thought I'd start a thread here to see if anyone else is anticipating this film or wants to find out more.

By the way, please don't turn this into a thread about the Twilight series because I'd like to talk about THIS project :)

Hannah;37978941']I can't wait to see this movie - it looks so good. & the role suits his acting unlike ....twilight:o
basically he looks like he acts better in this movie.

Plus he's yummy:p

Yeah, I've only seen the trailer but I've heard reviews from people who went to a test screening in November last year and I've heard nothing but praise for his portrayal of Tyler. Great news considering that this was a focus group and not just a group of Pattinson fans.

I've read the script and think Rob will be great as Tyler.....shame we have to wait till April 2nd to see it when its being released in other places a lot sooner.
:D

Yeah that's annoying  Although I may actually be in the States in late March so that'd be cool :)
S'gonna be frustrating having to wait an extra few weeks whilst knowing that there are probably clips all over youtube after the March releases.

P.S The script is epic :)

Yeah, they set it back a few weeks. It is currently being released as follows:-

Argentina..............April 8
Australia..............March 11
Belgium................March 11
France.................April 7
NetherlanRAB............March 11
Norway.................April 9
Romandie Switzerland.. April 7
Sweden.................March 26
USA....................March 12
UK.....................April 2 :(

It was probably to do with marketing issues I guess, though I've also heard it may have been to do with more time to get the soundtrack in order.

Oh and this news just in: It's been rated PG13 in the US by the MPAA, for some violence, sexual scenes, language, and smoking. I've heard that it was the same rating at the test screening which means it shouldn't have been toned down much if at all :) V. pleased about that.

I'm really looking forward to it, but how typical we Brits have to wait so long after the US. Is it me or is it getting worse for that sort of thing? So many movies seem to be delayed here now.

I've never heard of the film. Just watched the trailer and it looks boring. Definately not a film for guys especially a guy in his forties like me.
If his character is a rebel it didn't come across in the trailer. If there is an issue between him and his dad that doesn't either.
Because of Robert's fanbase I'm surprised it's not opening on or around Valentine's day to cash in on the date movie thing for girls.

I think I'll give it a miss. I hope you all really enjoy it when it comes out and it lives up to your expectations. :)

Hi, thanks for your post. Personally I liked the trailer but I'm a woman for a start :)
I did read the script before I saw the trailer so obviously I couldn't watch it objectively... but to answer a couple of your points I can tell you that Rob's character isn't really supposed to a be a 'rebel' and yes he does have a strained relationship with his father but there's much more to the story than that.
Its definitely NOT a chick-flick and the romance between Tyler and Emilie de Ravin's character is barely 1/3 of the story.
I know they are struggling to find a way to market this film for guys in your demographic but hopefully word of mouth post-release and pre-release reviews will help.
Thanks.

It is :)

(Memoirs was the name of the film before Summit Entertainment bought the rights).

Really is an awesome script, and its the kind of film where you have to say "Go and see it, I can't tell you why, but GO!"

Yes that's annoying, but I'm more concerned that the story will be spoiled for people as a result of this... With all the comms. nowadays like Youtube and Twitter etc, I'm not sure us Brits are gonna last 3 weeks post-US release spolier-free.

By the way, while I'm here, I found out that TWO exclusive clips from the film can be found on AOL and Myspace either tomorrow or Wednesday. These will be the very first clips to be released outside of the official trailer.

To get up to date news on the film these three sites are very good for news:-
