identity? Was wondering if anyone else has gone through this. I think it is traditional to take on her new husbands last name, but this is my second marriage and have children with my ex's last name. I'm not sure if it is a sense of betrayal feeling towards my ex or my children, or if it is just a loss of self-identity. I carried the same last name for over 10 years.
I talked to my ex-husband about it and he says that it was my choice and that he doesn't care. We are still good friends, but I feel that I have let him down. He seems to think it's silly.
It would have been awkward to keep his last name and add my new husbands last name since they are very similar looking and sounding.
He has since remarried and his new wife took on his last name .. I don't know why I am feeling this way?
