Relux and chest pain

I was dx with reflux 2 years ago, but it affected my throat and I felt like I had asthma and i wheezed. Now 2 yearsd later I have had constand chest pain. My doctor doesn't think it's heart related because all my heart tests were normal. But I read up on reflux and I dont have a burning sensation.. I just have PAIN amd comlained about shortness of breath. I feel a little uineasy with him just giving me prilosec and leaving it at that
 
Just go with it and give it a good month before making any opinions. Chest pain with normal heart tests is related to the stomach almost 100% of the time. The problem is that it is very hard to treat and dreadfully slow to respond. Just give it an honest go and follow the recommended diet and take your meRAB as prescribed. I believe Prilosec was the one you had to take on an empty stomach. Don't mess that up or it wont' be able to help. It neeRAB to be 3 hours after or at least 30 minutes before eating.

I apparently have severe stomach problems, but my main symptom is just years of chronic cough and wheezing. Have you seen a pulmonologist (lung doctor)? Reflux can cause asthma like symptoms that might need the attention of a specialist. You should also probably see a GIS specialist to make sure you're not dealing with barrett's in addition to the GERD.
