"Bicycle Secret Weapon" was designed by the U.S. government to make U.S. soldiers believe, DURING THE VIETNAM WAR, that the Vietcong possessed magical powers. The U.S. government led the soldiers believe that if they put the Ace of spades on top of the Vietcongs forehead that they would prevent themselves from absorbing evil.
Now doesn't this sound like your guys obsession with witches? I mean seriously, do you honestly think there are magic people running around casting spells? The church obviously understood that people were so scared of these witches that they paid extra taxes, they attended church more, they listened to their priests more, and moreover they listened to the politicians more. Sad. Could it be that the church understood the propaganda effect of making people scared of witches and they used that to make people afraid of leaving the church? You do realize that the scared people probably PAID EXTRA TAXES TO FIGHT OFF THE "EVIL WITCHES." Seriously and they also attended church more.
Bicycle Secret Weapon
"Some twenty years later, the ace of spades was again used by American soldiers—this time as a psychological weapon in the Vietnam War. US troops believed that Vietnamese traditions held the symbolism of the spade to mean death and ill-fortune and in a bid to scare away NLF soldiers without firefight, it was common practice to leave an ace of spades on the bodies of killed Vietnamese and even to litter the forested grounds and fields with the card. This custom was believed to be so effective, that the United States Playing Card Company was asked by Charlie Company, 2nd Battalion 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, to supply crates of that single card in bulk. The crates were often marked with "Bicycle Secret Weapon".[8]"
