I am a 14 year old girl, and a freshman at high school.
The school I go to is very much Christian orientated. I myself an an atheist. In R.E I exposed myself as an atheist in a discussion we were having about religion. The teacher was doing a poll on how many students are Christian islamic, jewish, atheist etc... When the teacher asked people who were Christian to raise there hands everybody in the class put up there hand. I was the only one who wasn't Christan. Know that every body knows they are being really horrible to me, they call me devil worshiper, stare at me, whisper behind my back etc...
My friends have even stopped hanging around me because I am atheist.
I know that if I tell a teacher NOTHING will be done about it (this school isn't very good at targeting bullying) school life is becoming unbearable and going to another school is not an option, pretending that Im Christan is not an option either.
I have tried to encourage people to stop being so religiously intolerant, but they wont listen.
What am I to do!?!
