RELIGION, LIFE, SURROUNDINGS? Confused.. 17 Years old?

I find it hard to believe any religeon because there are so many religeons to believe in, If i was brought up in a hardcore Christian family I would be christian if i was brought up in a muslim family i would be Muslim. The fact that we believe somthing is completely irrelevant to anything! how can i truely know if the world is round and not flat or everything i am made to see is not staged. i could have been brainwashed to blow up a building from the day i was born and truely believe that i was going to heaven

How can we know that jesus isn't realy just the devil and that people have been worshipping just because that is what we have been brought up around and told that he was good.

I was going to ask a question about time travel but it just became this. this isn't even a question I would just like to see other opinions or reactions....
 
Sounds like God is calling you. You hear, but do not know how to respond to Him.

Pray.

God is a Gentleman, and will not force you to turn to Him.

Pray. Open that dialogue with Him. Ask Him to lead you. He will show you the way.

Start-by reading His Words to you.

Yes its all allot of Mumbo Jumbo to me too. YOU are YOUR religion you are the centre of your own world treat people as you wish to be treated respect others views, even if you disagree with them get on with life and be happy.

Work for me:-)
 
Chill out and take life one day at a time ... try hard to be a good decent human being (even though we all F##k up now and again) ...

be sceptical about things without being a pillock about it.

Learn and read .

Oh and have a great time doing it and laugh now and then .

very little of anything you ever read or hear - no matter where or whom it is from can be proven... think about that.... nothing can be proven at all right now - except that you are reading this. and in just a short while, you won't be reading it... that is the only truth in your life right now.

now - is the only truth anyone has - the rest is no more than head dreams that might as well be the delusions of an insane person.
 
Which facts could you definitely prove?

The curvature of the earth observable by visibility of the horizon changing from different heights is proof of the general spherical nature of the earth

the existence of a god though, you just have to rely on some badly written 2000 year old book of fairy tales that is only considered to be true because it says it is...
as for why someone would blow themselves up - "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it."
 
At your age, your main concern needs to be getting the best education possible. If you are educated, the religious confusion will no longer be of concern.
