NEW YORK — New York City police have added the name "Anjelica Castillo" to the gravesite of a child known for two decades as "Baby Hope."
The little girl was identified over the weekend.
Her body was found stuffed in a cooler along a Manhattan highway on July 23, 1991.
A suspect was arrested on Saturday.
Assistant New York Police Department Chief Joseph Reznick said Monday that he went to the girl's gravesite to add her name. For now, the name is on a placard.
Until now, her gravesite said: "The identity of this little girl is unknown."
Reznick says he feels good to finally know who she is. But he's also haunted by the circumstances of her death.
