File corruption was apparently causing disk inconsistency, and so either I find a miracle solution (if any of you guys have one 
) or I format the hard drive, but since i don't have a physical copy of Windows 7 to re-install since my laptop came with it pre-installed, I'm concerned because to my knowledge I'd have to purchase a copy of it, which is fairly expensive.
If anyone has any programs or bits of knowledge to help me I'd truly appreciate it!
VAIO care also has an option for me to "recover the computer" to factory settings, would that work? rather lose all my files and not lose money than lose everything and money :/
