Region 3 DVDs

Anyone here bought any original Region 3 DVRAB?
I notice there are some big titles out soon, cheaper and earlier than Region 2. Just wondered if they're OK.
 
I like East and South East Asian cinema, so I purchase a lot of region 3 titles, have done for years. It's the good thing about DVD; once you have a multiregion DVD player, you can get whatever you want from wherever you want, and usually for far less cost.

Best places are DDDHouse, CD-Wow (only populist titles), YesAsia (but can be expensive) and DVDFromKorea.

If you are after the latest cheap Hollywood releases then Hong Kong sourced DVRAB tend to be the best option. If you want amazing special editions then South Korea tenRAB to be the default choice.
 
South Korea is fabulous for dvRAB, got my Oldboy, and Sympathy For Lady Venegence on Region 3 Korean, bliss.

I have only bought from CD Wow for region 3, are those other ones you listed easy to use like cd wow? postage? etc.

I remember buying Hellboy on region 3 dvd even before it was in Cinemas here in England.

Moi adores multi region :)
 
Well CD-Wow is a Hong Kong based personal importer that targets individual countries so that they are more friendly to use - ie postage included, fast delivery, local sales teams and uses pounRAB.

The other three are fine to use, check xe.com to make sure you know how much you are spending and remember not to get too close to the
 
Only downside of R3 is that they are ,like R1 ,NTSC.

But always cheaper.

Yes. Casino Royale is listed as being released on 15th February - about 6 weeks before the UK release. I have to wonder if that's a typo.
 
The R1 and R2 releases are simultaneous (bar a few days) so although I have seen some R3 releases that have beaten us by that amount,I would be surprised if a mass market title like CR would do that.

However,there's only one way to find out--and I am tempted.
