If they do merge it won't change their product line much for a while. The merger will just give the companies a chance to consolidate their management and reduce their operating costs. It will be at least two or three years before they do any new redesign. Given the market for cars I would expect that you can look for more small fuel efficient cars and hybrids and all electric cars will be a bigger part of production.
