Regarding packet data timers and counters of nokia mobile phones?

Is it necessary to clear counters like data counters,packet data timers of your nokia mobile phone and does it affect your mobile performance?coz i have forgotten my security code and it asks for a security code to clear anything in your nokia mobile.

it does not matter how much data you had used
it is only a number showing your use
speed of mobile depends upon free memory of mobile and memory card
