I worked at Hollywood Video a year or so ago and they went of business. I was fired about 6 months before they went of business for stupid reasons with my manager. I'm pretty sure the # is invalid as it just rings and rings and rings, but i've provided that # and address on my resume. I told them the reason i'm not working there is because the store closed down (i've worked a few odd jobs over the years and i don't have the specific dates and otherwise i only have 2 fairly stable recent ones, this being one of them) and i don't want my resume to suck. I'm currently waiting to hear back from a couple of Safeways and I want to know if:
1) I told them Hollywood went out of business. Do you think Safeway will delve deeper into verifying I worked there and for how long?
2) Do they look for this kind of information in background checks or is it mostly just for criminal status, etc.?
