Ok its me again!
Still trying to diagnose myself!!!:(
Now when I went to dentist about my sore throat (which ENT seems to think is caused by reflux) dentist said that it looked to him like something was irratating my throat, possibly an allergy, so could I be allergic to the mucous dripping down my throat? will antihistamines help for acid reflux?
I do have like a post nasal drip thing going on and it drips down my throat on the side that is sore.
Any idea's?
Thanks.

I'll give you an answer that will thoroughly confuse you further. :dizzy:

Persistent post-nasal drip can give you a sore throat.
Apparently, (my ENT tells me), reflux can give you post-nasal drip...or not.

IF you have post-nasal drip, and IF it's caused by reflux, resolving the reflux might resolve the post-nasal drip. Make sense?

I have had post-nasal drip for years. Whether it's been caused by reflux, I have no idea (yet). Antihistamines do help dry up my post-nasal drip, and I do still take them (especially at nighttime) when the post-nasal drip is getting on my nerves. They do dry out my nasal passages - a bummer - but they also help me sleep - a plus. My post-nasal drip has not seemed quite as bad since I started treating my LPR with PPIs - perhaps a coincidence, or perhaps they were/are related after all. It all makes my head spin!
