Red, splotchy, dry, flaky skin on my face, allergy to alcohol?

I drink beer quite often, and sometimes wine also, but very rarely do I drink hard liquors. I was at a party last night and had several shots of several types of liquor, none of which I've had before. Today I noticed that the skin on my face was incredibly dry and flaking off. I moisturized, and now the skin remains dry and has a horrible red, splotchy look.

Could this be because of the alcohol? Does this mean I'm allergic to liquor?
