Just received a letter in the mail stating that 3 weeks ago on one of local intersections I passed red light. I had three options: pay the "bail" ( is it a fine?) and , got to court to contest my case and stil pay the "bail" , or go to to traffic school and still pay the "bail". At the moment I can't afford to pay the bail - 500$ I just don't have it and I don't have a job. What are my options and willl I go to jail, considering that on the day of the alleged violation I was extremely sick with flu. As far as I know no matter whether I pay the fine or not - the conviction still goes on my record. Thanks.
