She's dead. But she was with a large number of foxes and I can't tell if she was a mother or a kit. She's about the size of a standard house cat. There was about five others with her. It was dark out and I couldn't quite tell sizes. I'm wondering, what's the age of weaning for foxes, and if I should be trying to find those kits to foster. Anybody know what fox weanlings look like? Anybody have a guess to whether this was the mother or an older kit? Fur was light in color. The other ones ran away and hid. If I do have to foster any tips on catching them? I'll be calling wildlife services tomorrow to inquire but in Idaho, there's not many that really care about them and they would probably not 'waste' effort on them.
FYI: I did not hit her. I happened to be riding in the car that did and was absolutely horrified. It could've been avoided but not at the speed he was going. Not used to rural roads I guess....
