Red Dots

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had similar symptoms or if you possibly know what I am experiencing. I get these red dots on my skin, they are small, maybe the size of a pin head. I used to get them on my hands or arms when I was little but right now I have two of them right on the tip of my nose. When I press on the skin by the red dots, they go away, turning white, but as soon as I release the pressure, the redness comes back. I thought it was petechia but i read that broken blood vessels usually disappear in a few days. These dots have been on my nose for months, and everyone keeps thinking they are zits! Anyone know anything about these dots or how I could speed their disappearing process?

I don't entirely know what they are, but I used to have them on my knuckles and I still have one on my cheek, I always assumed it was a burst blood vessel but the one on my cheek has been there ever since I can remember. People also assume its a zit but as it's been on my face for at least 15 years if not 22, I don't know. It never seemed to go away and I've basically forgotten that it was there (I have a lot of freckles so it isn't horrible noticeable) If it really bothers you maybe use cover up?

The permanent ones might be cherry angiomas, they're benign and only need to be removed if they bother you.

Pinpoint bleeding under the skin (petechiae) could be something serious, definitely tell your doc about it. Usually though it's just a low platelet count. Autoimmune diseases, viruses, and some medications can create this type of anemia. I little red dots occasionally from my rheumatoid arthritis.

On the face, especially ones that look like acne around the nose, could Rosacea. (Do you blush easily? Get flushed from wine or coffee? Dry eyes?)
