Red Bell Pepper had mold inside in bottom, is it OK to still eat the top half?

Just picked it up from the grocery story, brought it home, cut it in half and GROSS!!!
Also, would you tell the grocery store?
It not about the money "Anti", it about having a recipe that calls for it, having everything ready to make and not having the time to go back to the store (round 2, already had a make a run for flour). My only real option was to not use it in the recipe. I live kind of a long way away from the store.
