Recycle a bike please?

A friend and I are cycling around the UK and Ireland for Macmillan cancer support in May 2009.
He needs a bike, any bike, to train on until we receive our racing bikes that we will use on the trip, but don't get them till Feb 2009

Does anyone out there have a bike they no longer use?
Or know of a website that recycles everything? like a swap shop?
Please help!!!
 
This site has unwanted items going for free in your local area - if your lucky someone might have an unwanted bike for you.

I was going to suggest freecycle but carly beat me to it. its a good site.

Agree with above, try freecycle, You can post wanted items too,
Also try asking this question in the cycling section.
