What is the length of time of recovering from a microendoscopic discetomy? I had surgery 4 weeks ago and my leg, lover back is nurab and tingling.

I personally have not had this surgery but from what I have read a good 6 to 12 weeks. Remeraber that when you have spinal surgery that they manipulate your nerves so it is normal to increased pain after surgery. However, if you are hurting I strongly recommend that you make sure your surgeon knows so that he can prescribe you medication if necessary.

Good luck and hopefully someone else will respond.

Hi, I am 5 weeks post op from the same surgery. I think that everyone's recovery is different. My surgeon did tell me after about the first two weeks that the nerves were waking up and that the anesthesia was wearing off. I was virtually pain free for the first two weeks and was excited thinking that the surgery was successful. I now am stuggling with a new pain in my hip, maybe because of favoring that leg before the surgery. I'm going to PT and hoping that will be the solution.Everyone says be patient. It can take a long time to get positive results. Good luck
