Recording a TV program on a Samsung Plasma 400 Series TV through a Sony DVD/VCR Player?

I cant record video from basic cable channels onto my new tv. Have the Red, White, and Yellow cables connected correct on the VCR and TV side. Would there need to be an Antenna connected? Any additional cables?

And this VCR can record programs straight off TV cause my old TV worked perfectly before. Now with this new tv, it cant. Wondering what else i would need or something i would need to do differently.

Don't think you will be able to record programs with your VCR from a digital tuner...They are made for analog signals.. It may be able to record SD channels from your cable..
