Helllllllllo everyone!
Hi! My name's Matt and I'm a MASSIVELY HUGE gamer. I literally have any and every game you could think of. Any way, I've always thought that it would be cool to record and commentate my gameplays and upload them to YouTube like all of the Machinima producers do, like Tejbz and SketchyGnarkill
...So basically, I hooked my laptop up to my HDMI HDTV Monitor using basic HD Monitor Connect cables. Here's a picture of what cables I used: http://files.sandberg.it/products/images/lg/502-02_lg.jpg
So now I can cycle between my PC and my Xbox 360, but I heard there was a way to basically 'record your TV' while your playing your Xbox 360 via/through your PC using the same monitor. ...Wow, that was confusing as hell
So my basic question is, what software would I need to capture/connect to the screen/device, or how could this be done using this method without buying $1,000 HD PVR
Also, I have NO clue how to use them, but I think I have HDMI cables and my monitor is HDMI compatible
Thanks everyone!
...I love you
