Recommended books at a grade 12 level to read?

Im doing a comparison essay on two books and cant seem to find two books that have much in common...any suggestions as to what books i could chose? (interesting books)
P.S they have to be grade 12 level
 
I hate them now ( because EVERYONES talking about them) but the twilight series. read the first two, they are very well written.
and the Harry Potter series. i just started and im HOOKED! man they are great! but these might be 8th grade. i can never tell XD
