I want to get some speakers to connect my nano to on trips (to create a sort of portable version of my home hi-fi), but a few searches on eBay gave me results in the 3000+! I'm going to need some help navigating that, so I thought I'd ask y'all 
I would want these to be compact as well as portable (ie, smaller than a hardback book, with not too many dangly cables and stuff), have the option of working on batteries, and have a decent enough sound with good bass - I listen to a lot of Flogging Molly and dropkick Murphys and that kind of thing, so the sound has to be good enough not to turn these into sludge ;-) I also listen on occasion to stuff like classical and ragtime, so these shouldn't sound too hideous either, but it's mainly the other stuff.
I also don't have piles to spend, so Bose stuff which has an excellent rep is probably off limits. I'll try to keep it under 150 bucks, but if there's something you think is the bee's knees for a bit more, _do_ let me know!!
