I have an Osprey Aether 70 which was purchased two years ago. It's a semi-lightweight 4.5lb pack but just has too much "stuff" going on with it. I just want a simple, lightweight and dependable ruck with the following:

Front kangaroo pouch with cinch closure
Large elastic side pockets
Some kind of zippered pouch on top for maps, etc. but NOT a pocket lid (gets in the way, straps to dick around with)
3500cu.in. + capacity
Belt and shoulder load system
Daisychain rigging, or able to be rigged with a daisychain
External compression straps
Cinch cord top, perhaps with rucksack fold-over lid (not a pocket lid) and secure with buckle
Less than 3.5 lbs
Must be durable

I was looking at the GG Vapor Trail and the GoLite Speed packs. The former has really bad side pockets and the latter seems a bit small for 4-season. I'll be doing backcountry backpacking that lasts anywhere from overnight to multi-week, short jaunts to long hauls.
