G groovy New member Aug 21, 2010 #1 i recently replaced the impeller in my '97 40hp mercury, & now there is a "clicking" noise coming from the gearbox, but only when in neutral, is fine in fwd or reverse. has anybody out there have any clues as to what this could be, & how to fix?
