our thought to his aunt and uncle? who are quite layed-back and easy to run ideas by. They then mentioned the conversation to bf's parents. His mom (the future mother-in-law) called my bf very distraught that we would have a simple destination wedding rather than a full catholic mass. He reassured her that we would take travel off the table. I'm not catholic. I'm christian and a short truncated mass would be ok with me. But I LOVE travel. AND my dad is atheist... I don't want to be disrespectful to her but I also know my dad would be unhappy with a FULL mass (and I would too). Where Do I draw the line? Is there any way to address these issues early and who's role is it to talk to FMIL? I'm disappointed and we're not even engaged yet...
Told the BF what I think and he is undecided now after speaking to his mom. The whole engaged thing is very soon in coming. Kids are non issue; we dont plan on having them.
