Rec: Wayne?s Secret Sauce

Many years ago I was experimenting with flavors and developed this
recipe. It reminds me of a Knott?s Berry Farm sauce that I enjoyed and
was no longer being made. It adds flavor to a number of dishes and when
poured on top of a slab of Cream Cheese, it makes a very good appetizer.
I made some for our bridge club and when asked for the recipe, I told
them that it was my secret and thus the name. Until now I have never
shared this recipe with anyone.

Enjoy

Wayne?s Secret Sauce

1 T Olive oil
1 1/3 c Teriyaki sauce
1 can 20 oz crushed pineapple
? c Red wine vinegar
3 Large onions diced
3 Garlic cloves minced
3 tsp. Garam Masala
? tsp. Ginger
1 tsp. Worcester sauce
24 oz Tomato sauce
1 c Brown sugar

Saute onions but do not brown, add remaining ingredients and simmer 20
minutes.

What? No mint jelly? This thing screams for
a dollop of mint jelly!

Sorry, anything that combines teriyaki sauce,
garam masala (itself a spice blend), and Worcester
sauce is a non-starter for me. It's like you're
combining every color in the paint set.
