I'm probably one of the few here that bought the rearsets for a XX9 bike. Since Scott's (Matrix) explanation about stock lever interference with the Acculigns only mentioned the 1098 model, I ordered the 999 rearsets only which Scott successfully processed. Hey, I was trying to be fiscally responsible considering my "wrench" recently appeared on my dash.

I installed the rearsets this weekend and found that the stock gear shifter fouled the rearset. There is a rather large casting flash line running the length of the gear lever's pivot. The Acculign bracket's counterbore for the lever pivot is not large enough and the casting flash binds hard in the counterbore preventing the lever from pivoting when the pivot bolt it torqued down.

I just chucked the lever in my milling machine and fly cut the flash off. It was literally a 2 minute job to correct the interference. However I thought I'd let any potential 749/999 owners know that this can happen if you plan on using your stock levers. You can also do this with a file or dremel but it will require a little more finish work for it to look good.

I still need to fiddle with their adjustments but love the Acculigns so far.

Scott, I'm breaking down and buying the damn levers this week. I can't resist. They look too good on your website.

Thanks FirstDuc. And BTW, anyone who is interested, but hasn't placed their orders, Scott is going to be out of town until later in the week. Skylar is in the shop and will be shipping stuff during his trip though.

So other than those whom have posted, how happy is everyone with their purchases??

Hi all. Just checking in. Silversled, sorry about your clearance issue, I was unaware of that. I think everyone else is taken care of. If there are issues, please call us. We like to know these things so we can inform others. We don't have every duc in the driveway, so sometimes feedback is our only way to know what works and what doesn't.

Still lots of time left on buy period. We will also be adding a new registration for Moto Notes our weekly update on products. If you checked does not accept marketing in an order, then we do not send you the email updates. If you want them, look in next week or so and you will see a place to register on home page.

Cannot believe that no one went for VIO POV digital camera systems on buy. We used them at CCS racing this weekend and I will post some video in next week or so. Great system.

Thanks again,
Scott

Scott,
No worries. My comments were a "public service" type comment not a complaint. Like I mentioned, it was a 2 minute fix. The rearsets are great.

I just got my Kriega R15 today in the mail. My Dell Latitude laptop fits perfectly inside with room for a couple of work folders and a change of cloths. The R20 would have given a little more headroom but I love the compactness of the R15. Wow, what a GREAT backpack! It's a smartly designed and constructed product!

Totally agree on the Kriega stuff. We are now a R25/R15/R10 family and will certainly be adding more products in the future. I am planning my KTM 69 Enduro purchase and def' will be putting some Kreiga bags/packs on that baby for some bike mounted camping trips....
