Joel,
When you get your rucksack can you give us a quick impression? I'm looking for one right now and am also considering the Alpinestars Tech Aero backpack.

Thanks.

Vic-
They did arrive today. LOL! Took as long to go from Phoenix 100 miles north to Prescott, as it takes to get stuff to the east cost. USPS for ya!

So the packs are amazing. Way, way overbuilt. The zipper for the main pouch is something off a canvas 50L rucksack. There are several small pockets all over the thing to store the little stuff. And best of all the harness seems really easy to adjust.

I ended up getting the 25L size, which unless you carry a shit load of stuff all the time is plenty big. In fact, my wife Jen is thinking about downsizing to the 15L. She is about 120lbs and 5'9" and it is kinda big on her. She wants to try it out over her jacket and on the bike in the neighborhood before she makes a final decision. For me personally I think it will be great. The pack rides much lower on your back than a regular backpack. Right in the small of your back. I commute pretty much everyday on my 848, and I have no concerns that it will be plenty big enough for me to carry a change of clothes, shoes, and a couple of charts I may need to lug around without being overstuffed.

I am going to use it on an extended ride this weekend and will let you all know how it works in regular duty, but initially I think it is well worth the cost, and the 10 year warranty is a bonus.

Joel,

Thanks for the initial impressions on the Kreiga. I'm a short spud so the 15L should be good for me. I also commute on my 999s with a small Dell Latitude laptop and clothes. It should work I think.

Man Matrix Motorsports is going to suck my bank account dry!

Thanks again.

Vic

Happy Birthday to me.... Happy Birthday to me.... Man I am so stoked, yes I used the word stoked. These things look amazing and are better than I thought.

Only one downfall.... no shift lever or brake lever. I have sent an email to Scott to see what happened. My guess is that it is an oversight. Guess I will wait to put them on.

UPDATED.... Scott got back to me very quickly, looks like the warehouse might have made a mistake as they recently changed the system. Should have something early next week. Many kudos to Scott and everyone at Matrix.
