ok now my new bike i just got was working perfectly fine until about a month after i bought it. now i can pedal and get the wheels to turn, but if i stop pedaling and just coast then the wheels don't turn when i start slowing down and need to speed back up.
here i'll try to say it a little more clearly:
i get on my bike and start pedaling - it works just fine.
but then i get up to a speed where i don't need to pedal anymore so i stop pedaling and just coast for a little while - nothing wrong yet.
once i start slowing down from not pedaling i need to speed back up again; i start pedaling but the pedals just spin freely without moving the wheels for about 1 chain revolution before the wheels start to move again - there's my problem.
by the way i have a mongoose bmx bike - no derailleurs or gear shifting.
i just need to know if i need to take this to a bike shop or if i can save some money and fix this problem on my own.
