rear shock adjustment

Jack the bike up so there is no weight on the rear wheel. Remove the right side gas tank cover (below the seat). You will see the top of the rear shock, with two brass nuts. Use paint, a magic marker, or white out to mark one flat of the bottom nut. The top one is the lock nut. Loosen it with a wrench or a long drift and a hammer. Back the top nut off a bit, then spin the bottom nut clockwise to stiffen the ride, counter-clockwise to soften the ride. Go one complete turn (that's why you marked the flat of the bottom nut), then lock it down with the top nut and test ride. If you are not happy, go another half or full turn and test it again.

See the attached, the serial number for the special wrench is in the instructions, I think you can locate the wrench in online catalogs.
