My family is pretty big, 6 people, my sister goes to Melbourne Uni and stays at the college which is very expensive. This is her second year there, lsat year was easy finacially, we got through fine, but this year my sister wanted to stay there again and my parents kept on not giving her a straight answer, money being the obvious reason for hesitation. Last term i went away on a school camp, it lasted for the entire term, some leadership program thingo, anyway when i got back i noticed we may be in a little bit of trouble. MY parents are way to proud to ever discuss there financial situation with me and I'm only 15 so fair enough as well but it still scares me a bit. I've just picked up little things, like my dad one day asking my mum how her credit cards were going, or them talking in hushed voices over the computer when my dad was paying bills, sometimes he gets back from paying bills and makes comments "just over, $200 in it", or"thats this month by" this really scares me i must say.
So i geuss what I'm asking is is there anything i can do to help?
I mean not at all meaning to talk myself up but i am great with money and helping round the house, like if im worrying about money and i have some in my pocket then ill go often for a week buying my own bus fares to and from school just because i know the monthly tickets my dad buys me are expensive, or when i go see a movie with friends and my mum scrounges around to come up with some money to give me i always buy the ticket for myself, get back home after and give the money back to her and say something like " we decided not to see a movie in the end" just last week i spent around $40 of my own money from my job on my sister in the city, just so i could give that money back to mum at the end.
I dont think there really is much but if you think of anything please let me know, or just tell me what you think, any comment will do!
thanks in advance
