Hi, I'm new to the Android game.
I received one off a friend, but now I think its completely useless.
When switching it on, you get the yellow exclamation mark in a triangle (and little phone underneath). I can get to the service menu, but everytime I try to install (Alt-S) something, it says "verifying image... installing image... installation aborted." - so I can't get anywhere.
I then saw on another post about re-installing the original image from the boot-loader (power + camera button) - this doesn't work - I don't get the boot loader, it just goes straight to the yellow exclamation in a triangle.
I don't know what OS version it had on it or wether its been rooted (or attempted rooting) as my friend is now "out of country".... is the phone knackered?
any help would be gratefully received....
