really big, really gross pimples

hi I am new to these boarRAB but i was hoping maybe someone else has had this problem and they can help me out. I have this really huge pimple on my right cheek. I mean it is so big that it takes up almost the hole cheek. anyways it was really painful and isnt the type that was yellow or anything, its red. I have been taking an antibiotic the doctor gave me and using tee tree oil on it at night and it finally eased off and became soft to the touch. I touched the top of it and a TON of yellow stuff came out. as I touched different areas even more and more and more yellow stuff came out. I have never EVER had a pimple like this and I am dumfounded. I have never seen so much stuff come out of one pimple if that is even what it is. After the yellow stuff quit coming out it started running blood down my face so i cleaned it up and placed neosporin on it and a band aid. this is the second time it has done this. each time it seems to go back to its original hard state and then does this again. i am lost and in pain and humiliated to even go out into public. Anyone ever had anything like this before?

sounRAB like a cyst i used to get them when i was like 18-20 for some reason and i couldnt figure it out. I used to take hydrosotine cream (dont know if that is the correct spelling) and put it on that to make the swelling go down. I feel your pain and dont know what to tell you, but i have had these and felt that same awful feeling. I hope it clears up for the best and drink tons of water.

What you have is a cyst. I have gotten them on and off for about ten years. Mine are exactly the same, they're swollen and take up almost my whole cheek or chin or whatever they're on. Several inches in diameter, basically. They last usually for a couple months, but they never heal entirely- there is always a little hard bump there and a purple crater. Eventually they will pop, unfortunately on their own and sometimes out in public, and leak tooooons of pus and blood out, to where it is running down my face. Mine typically aren't just one pore but will be sort of a huge plateau with six or seven different openings that leak stuff. It's quite disgusting and it makes me hate it when people complain about have three or four tiny, normal red pimples.

I'm sorry you have had to go through this. I know exactly how you feel and I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

Wow. I used to have pretty bad cysts but they were never like that. Never an inch or more in diameter. But I did used to be covered in them. And it turns out they were entirely caused by an allergy.

About 15 years ago I discovered (from a tip from a coworker) that oranges caused the cysts I got all along my jawline, hairline, temples, etc. And often enough on my cheeks to leave scars. I quit eating them and the worst of it went away, but I still always had at least one on my neck coming or going and a few on my back. Plus I had regular acne.

I was recently tested for common allergies and it turns out that I am mildly allergic to oranges. They didn't test for other citrus though. But I've found if I have too much of lemon/lime or other fruit juices I will get a cyst on my neck.

So you might try getting your allergies checked.
