Really bad gas like smell in my car! Help!?

In my car it smells super strong like when you light the stove but the flame doesn't catch. Its really hard to breathe and gives me and my passengers lasting headaches and leaves us gasping for breath. Does anyone know what type of gas this is, and if it's really dangerous, or any ideas for what I should do about it.
