Reaction to new car

I recently bought a second hand car and as soon as i had been driving it for about 10 minutes i felt nausated and dizzy, like an attack of vertigo. This happens every time I get in it. It seems like the plastic is making me sick. I have reacted like this before to chemicals but never to a car interior. i take Stemetil at times but this hasn't made a difference.
Is there anything i can do to improve things?
