Re-Registering street bike?

Has anyone had any experience re-registering their street bikes after prolonged storage? I left mine stored with the insurance dropped and the registration has expired. Now i'm just wondering if the DOT is going to give me any problems getting a new registration since i've put the bike back on the insurance.
 
No, you will not have any problems. Some states dont even require insurance on motorcycles and the ones that do, dont care if you have it uninsured in storage (even if it's registered). Just as long as your not actually riding an uninsured vehicle.
Processes are different depending on the state so check with your local motor vehicle office but I can assure you they will not give you any problems.
