I am filling out some scholarship applications for when I start college next summer and there are some ambiguous race questions that I need to fill out. Now generally these applications would have an option for Hispanics under ethnicity, but for these particular scholarships, there isn't that option. It is asking me to check one of the four White, Black, Native American, or Asian. Its an online application, so it will not let me advance to the next page unless I have filled everything up and I want these applications to be perfect. I don't want to get a simple race question wrong so as a Hispanic, which of the four options should I choose?
PS - Should I base this solely on skin color? My parents are both Nicaraguan. My mother is Nicaraguan American and my father was born over there. There is also no "Other" option... Thanks!
