people are simply looking for troubles cause thats happen alot and of course not on purpose and they give you dirty looks like if you run them over or somthing but no dont worry about him having your name or phone number is not a big deal and a claimed chip on his door its not the end of the world i would think that he wont repot it cause it simply not true and 1 more qustion for you was you cars paint on his car or any thing like that if not just dont worry about because its simply impossible to prove that you did it

RE: car door bump side of other car. Can someone file a claim vs. my wife if...

...no police rpt, no visible damage? At parking lot at service area, wife opened car door and slightly bumped side of other so she could squeeze out. Other driver claimed a "chip" on their car side. Neither I nor my wife could see anything. No police called, only info we each have is each others name & phone number. No fault claimed. My concern is him contacting me looking for repair/$$ for "chip" which didn't exist. Should I notify anyone?

"No police called" why not? ALWAYS get a report.

"No fault claimed" No fault gets claimed at the site, it's determined by the insuring companies.

"Should I notify anyone?" Should have called your insurance company immediately.
