Squid....
IMO...RC's many years of riding experience provides him with a realistic appreciation of the dangers that we face during each and every ride. His integrity and compassion dictate a sense of responsibility for everyone that he chooses to ride with.
While it may have seemed a minor faux pas to you...your disappearing act, 10 minutes into the ride up a hill with a well known reputation as being deadly, was wrong....regardless of the reasons.
Although he was not on this specific ride, RC was informed (from those who were) about the fear and anxiety that ensued as your fellow riders spent the next hour looking for you. He heard how you abandoned your fellow riders without warning. Later explained as "you remembered you had something you needed to do".... rings hollow, after other riders reported seeing a downed red 1098 near the last place you were seen.
Witnessing what he has over his riding career, I can understand if RC chooses to fry you over your selfish offense, your flimsy excuse, your unwillingness to fess up to the truth or even take what you did seriously.
abiding,
D

I missed this ride after 30 pages posting at the last minute due to illness/injury.. Another group was going up also with me/us but dropped out due to me not making it and felt outta place.. They followed about 20mins later.. I then get a somewhat frantic phone call from this same group telling me "one of my Ducati guy's" crashed then rode back down the hill... Then The Dudes group posted on this board via Blackberry ( I think) franticly asking if anybody knew how to get a hold of squid as he disapeared on the hill and were afraid of the worst.. Next anybody heard from squid is he posted a reply stating: I suddenly remembered I had to do something at home::
Yep... I sincerly dislike a Rat bastard like that.. How about you??
RC
Btw.. I would like to thank TheDude for his coming forward and also his kind words..
