RAYMOND: Is the world going to end in 2012?

My dad was talking about the mayans and the whole issue..and he said that the last eclipse was when the last ice age occured. Revolution and anything like that scares me half to death. I believe the whole thing but i just want to know if this means the world is actually gunna end..or if people will die. or what!?

yea don't believe that crap, its just like when everyone said the world was gonna end in 2000.I used to get nervous about the end of the world but just live your life and ignore youtube lol

I dunno...no one really does for sure, except God. But it's been freaking me out. I try to look at it in a hopeful way but my b/f is so gloomy about it that ut brings me down and freaks me out. He is like obsessed with that. I really hope it is just nothing or something good. Maybe the Mayans just ended the calendar on the winter solstice, because they had to end it sometime, right?

Here are some of the things that will NOT happen on 12/21/2012:

1. The sun will not align with the center of the galaxy (it never has and never will--see link).

2. Planet Nibiru will not pass near the earth and throw it into chaos (there is no planet Nibiru).

3. The earth's poles will not reverse (the physical poles can't reverse; the magnetic poles can and do reverse, but the next reversal isn't expected for at least a thousand years and will not be catastrophic in any event).

The only thing the Mayans have to do with all of this is that the current cycle in their calendar comes to an end. If the Mayans were around today, they would be working on their calendar for the next cycle. And if they couldn't predict their own end, I don't put much faith in any of their supposed predictions of our demise.
