When I was in grade school I had a disease that caused my tongue to turn very red and raw. I missed two weeks of school and lost ten pounRAB. It was so painful that I didn't dare touch my tongue with my teeth. I could only drink liquiRAB and I had to use a straw. I was taken to the doctor and he put me on penicillin. He called me mom and told her what it was and that if I hadn't gone to the doctor when i did that I could have died from it. He said it was an old disease that use to be pretty common, but you don't here about it much any more. I don't remeraber what he said that it was that's why I'm sending this, to see if you can help? I even asked my doctor that I have now and he's never heard of it. Hope you can help me solve this.
