I found a raw viewer that will work with my camera's raw files, it costs 40$. I have a panasonic, and apparently few programs support panosonic's raw files because they dont like to share or some other kind of thing. I dont know.
So I have my raw pic. I edit it in photoshop cs3. What file do I convert it to? I use tiff on my camera (well, I guess now I will be using raw.. I hadnt been because I was frustrated over having to open the pic to tell which one it was).
Photoshop gives me the option to save in dng, jpg of tif. Should I stick with tif? What is dng? Do other programs recognize dng?
