Rave Master: The Complete Series coming to DVD

'Tis true! And not a bad deal, either.

The biggest question now is: is there anyone out there who will actually BUY it?

Really? They couldn't put entire series of other, better anime like "Monster Rancher" or "Digimon", but they give us the entire horror that is Rave Master.

Well, at least Don East can finish his review of the series!

....Wait...WHAT? Seriously? Didn't they stop selling Rave Master ages ago? I thought the original dvRAB that they tried selling during it's run on Toonami failed. Well...this is a interesting event.

*whispers* (Buy the manga instead!)

So... who is releasing this? FUNimation released the sets for GTO and Initial D First and Second Stages so... I guess them maybe but there doesn't seem to be an indication that they are involved. Curious...

Wow, $39.99 for the entire dub of Rave Master, that's actually a pretty good price if you ask me, considering that's almost more than what Pokemon boxsets from Viz have. As soon as I read the price, I knew it was going to be dub only.

Yeah, even though watching the Rave Master dub can be fun, due to seeing how weird it is, I would have greatly prefer a series set for Monster Rancher or any of the Digimon series. A Digimon series set, even dub-only, would be totally awesome for me.

I'm actually surprised that they're releasing the series on DVD. It was never that successful and the series aired the last chuck of episodes on Cartoon Network at a 6:30AM slot. Though, the picture there does look pretty cool for box art and the price is really good, especially when that's about forty dollars for a series with over fifty episodes. Even so, I'll probably buy the Rave Master manga over this box set.

I would rather they rerelease the manga and actully finish the engish release.

My dream sceneo is a rerelease of the manga with the Japanese cover and for it to be titled Groove Adventure Rave.

They won`t do digimon but they'll do rave Master? WHY?

Even Fans of the manga didn't care for the anime, and it was one of those series that never had a proper ending.

Good, maybe I am asking too much or just a dreamer, but well they use the Japanise covers? Why did they Tokyo Pop have to have their own covers to begin with, most manga english releases don't change the covers. Even Sailor Moon had the same cover art, though the book was pocket size and was read left to right.

I know in order not to confuse the public, they would never use the real name Groove Adventure Rave, but please keep the cover art.

On the subject of the anime, maybe with this renewed this interested, they might conclude the series like they did with Inuhasha. I think it would make great sense to relaunch the series and pair with Fairy Tail.

I love Elie, but fanservice isn't enough to make me buy the whole set of a dub where she, Haru, the villains, and bascially everyone and everything is either written poorly or out-and-out badly. Though the voices were usually decent...save for Tom Kenny's overly-annoying Griff, the wooden actor they got to play Lucia at the end of the show, and some good actors who just didn't bother turning in a good vocal performance due to the nature of the show (like Tara Platt as Reina)

And Digimon did get it's first and second seasons released on DVD, if I recall. The bad thing is that the exact same friggin' writer that does Rave Master helped write those dubs too! I can stand the first season, but that second one....

The only legit DVD releases Digimon have had are the "First Season" set which contained the first 13 episodes of Adventure, and the first Data Squad box set (with the second coming in May). Any others, including "Complete Season" sets, are bootlegs.

It looks like you forgot that Digimon: the Movie also got released legally on DVD.

Anyway, I'm hoping that the older seasons of Digimon will legally get released on DVD, someday.
